GATKU Polespears!

The best polespear in the world, made in my hometown San Diego, CA. and one of my favorite clients! I am super happy to be the Brand Manager and Creative Partner of this worldwide product line. I first did the GATKU logo about 8 years ago, in 2008. It was a very small company then, perhaps only a hobby. Since then we have facilitated major growth.

It is my great pleasure to share this brand with you.

Because GATKU is recognized by a large scale, niche audience, we were able to experiment with an abstract (more palatable, less billboard feel) edition of the original brand icon. At first we encountered small issues but overall it has been a successful pursuit. Cool renditions sprung up from this exploration that took presenting GATKU to all new depths.

Above you can see the abstract version of the GATKU logo on apparel, presenting product imagery, and providing a frame to clip images which helps clean up social media photo sharing.

In early 2013 I purposed and started to build a new eCommerce website to increase our online sells and give a better user experience to our consumer. This has been the biggest digital development I have done thus far. It has resulted in great success that we expect to be very fruitful for us through 2020.

We put a lot of time into the customer command section of the site to ensure good Ux and the highest per order total.

An on page, dynamic cart allows for easy order viewing and editing. This ensured user control and checkout optimization. gatku.com

Along with an extremely powerful digital store, we embarked on developing a lifestyle brand out of this iconic company.

The branding has been implemented on numerous mediums, from physical products like the pint flutes above to off-shore manufactured wetsuits. The visuals are clean and memorable and have caused GATKU to flourish.

Digital visual assets engaging with the public during holiday seasons throughout the year. This rich, product eccentric imagery is very effective in boosting sells and brand to public interaction.
